Rooted, Self-reliant Rural Girls
We fund residential, experiential education for underprivileged girls from rural West Bengal -blending academics with handloom, crafts, and enterprise skills to build rural entrepreneurs.
We are proud to support the education of girls from some of West Bengal's most underserved and disaster-prone districts — Purulia, Bankura, Jhargram, and the Sundarbans. This residential learning cause blends formal academics with hands-on skills: handloom and yarn-spinning, matmaking, pottery, sanitary-napkin production, classical music, and martial arts. Built on a philosophy of collaboration over competition — "we" instead of "I" — it aims to send girls back to their villages not just educated, but as confident rural entrepreneurs capable of uplifting entire communities.
Our support looks ahead to the next chapter: extending grades, strengthening counselling, and opening real market exposure so that skill turns into sustainable enterprise.
